All those years of screaming her name and the surf finally came....

Tuesday October 18, 2005 hurricane Wilma is born, making her way into the northwestern Caribbean Sea.  By the early morning hours of Tuesday October 19, Wilma sets an all time record as the most powerful category 5 hurricane.  As a strong Cat. 4 she slowly crosses over Cozumel.  Wilma then drifts over the NE tip of the Yucatan Peninsula where she stalls weakening to a Cat 2 storm before crossing the Gulf of Mexico.

Tuesday October 24, Wilma slams into the southern tip of Florida.  She intersects the state and exits into the Atlantic for her continued Northeastern journey across open waters to her final destination.

"Although Wilma will not be directly affecting the U.S. East Coast, high surf is presently occurring along the mid-Atlantic states"
