Choppy Omega |
The Oregon Trifecta is a combination of three
World Cup
Skateboarding bowl events held in three consecutive days
at three premium skateparks in the state of Oregon.
These three World Cup events consist of The Golden Otter
(Lincoln City), The Crown Royale (West Linn), and the Corn Cup
(Newberg). Each event has its own awards along with an
overall Trifecta award, the Pro division earning points toward
the World Cup.
Choppy Omega is the name behind the creation.
Choppy set out to build a skate series honoring parks and
the abundance of rising skatepark talent. The skatepark
builders who started out in Oregon, Grindline and Dreamland,
have built their parks as free public parks. With the
growth of the Grindline and Dreamland skateparks, park
riding has steadily increased throughout the state of Oregon.
Riders had no events offering them an opportunity to skate on
their own turf. Not until the Oregon Trifecta came to
be. All are welcome to participate and enter, there is
no entry fee, and it offers divisions for women, masters,
locals, and pros.
Below are scenes along with the results from Oregon Trifecta 2006, the
fourth annual Oregon Trifecta.

The Oregon Trifecta is an
intense three days of contest skating. A test of endurance.
A gathering of skaters in celebration of the birth of the
concrete skatepark. An excuse to skate some of Oregon's
finest. In every bearing the Oregon Trifecta is an
incredibly fun and exciting time. Many thanks to Grindline
and Dreamland, Choppy Omega, World Cup Skateboarding, Volcolm, Red
Bull, and all the sponsors and riders who have helped make this
series a reality.
