    The Girls Riders Organization (GRO) is a nonprofit alliance who's mission is to tour the nation in order to bring awareness, inspire, educate, and support girls in skateboarding and action sports.  GRO has been traveling across the country providing skateboarding workshops at various skate parks.  These workshops are specifically designed for girls of all ages and skill levels to come together and learn how to skate in a friendly environment.  No board, no problem.  GRO provides boards, pads, and helmets at all their workshops.  No cash, no problem.  Most GRO workshops are free of charge, some charge a small fee.  Donations to support the cause are welcome.  Workshops provide instructional videos, as well as, one on one training with a personal instructor.  Girls will learn the basics of skateboarding, safety, and some history of girls in skateboarding.
