Hurricane
Noel

As this years disappointing hurricane season was nearing its end
the northeast was treated to the swell that it had been patiently
waiting for. Local conditions here in Maryland were not looking
good for a clean up early in the weekend so we decided to jump in
the car and get as many good waves as could be packed into a two
day weekend. We were Jersey bound by 4 a.m.
The first stop was Cape May where perfect overhead waves rolled in
all morning.
Then we hooked up with some locals and headed north for the
afternoon. Arriving just before sunset we crossed the dune to
find more overhead barrels and rushed to suit up and grab a few
before dark.
Sunday morning showed
smaller size but still perfect shape. Our local guides pointed us
towards empty waves. We surfed all weekend until fatigue forced us
to quit.
Next swell don't be afraid to get in the car and make some surf
happen for yourself.
