The Grand Opening of the Olney Skatepark was great fun for
all and a huge success. The day called for rain and it
held off for the entire event. We arrived just as the
acknowledgements were being made and the ribbon was being cut.
Soon after the ribbon cutting select skaters were admitted to the skatepark to
provide a demonstration. Many of these select skaters
traveled as far as Pennsylvania and North Carolina to attend
the opening. Big thanks to Derek Krasauskas, Rob Nelson,
Jesse Davis, Susie Strege, MobTown Skateboards, Attitude Board
Shop, The Montgomery County Department of Parks staff, and the
Town of Olney for making the event possible.
