Summer 2004
Many of our weekends were spent at the pink house in Ocean City MD. Sometimes we do surf.  The weekly  surf report  has also begun.

  Earlier in the summer, the first named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season, Hurricane Alex formed as a tropical depression on July 31, and developed into a tropical storm on August 2. It reached hurricane status on August 3 as it neared the North Carolina coast producing excellent East Coast Swell for the weekend!!!
       
                                                                          The Wedge - Labor Day Weekend
      Hurricane Frances decided to pound into Florida, sending some nice south swell our way for the Labor Day Weekend.
So Pat and Spies decided not to wait for the rental boat and just started paddling through the labor day traffic. Its not easy paddling across the inlet to the wedge, let alone on a short board. Heard it was like J-Bay over there...or is that pipeline? I forget.  Below is the wedge taken from where they departed.

      Things tend to come full circle. Kinda like the Ally 3 surfboard pictured here.  That has become the old and yet new gem in Bill's Surfboard collection. The middle one looks nice and deadly, but in the meantime, can I ride the last one... the Jim Overlin, pretty please?
